BARTKRESA studio transformed the iconic Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood with luminous projections. Commissioned by Audi, the projections told a story of evolution in Hollywood. The vibrant graphics illustrated the imbalance of women in the roles of directors, writers, producers, editors, and cinematographers in the film industry. The projections started in black and white, showing the statistics for the under-representation of women in each field. The graphics came into full color as they announced that in 2018, for the first time ever, 48% of the films at the AFI Film Festival, presented by Audi, were directed by women. The six-minute-long show featured the pictures of two hundred female filmmakers who were involved in the festival. Under the hashtag “Drive Progress,” the educational and optimistic projection mapping show ran for all eight nights of the festival
