California Science Center LOS ANGELES, CA, USA , 2018
For the first time ever, the California Science Center allowed projection mapping on the iconic Space Shuttle Endeavour. In celebration of the annual Discover Ball fundraiser, BKS transformed the shuttle and the surrounding pavilion into King Tut’s tomb. The shuttle took the form of King Tut’s sarcophagus, glittering with gold and jewels, while projected scenes of torches illuminating vibrant hieroglyphics on the surrounding walls. Almost one hundred years after the discovery of King Tut’s tomb, the guests at the Discovery Ball had the unique experience of rediscovering the tomb at the California Science Center.
